Firefighters from three halls responded to a reported structure fire at the 7600 block of Pacific Street in the BCR site.
The fire was located in an area crews were working at earlier in the day, as the building is being decommissioned.
Crews were using cutting torches to remove steel plates from the floor and this is believed to be the cause of the fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters and confined to the area of origin.
There is no damage estimate since it was minimal and it's a salvage operation.
There were no injuries and the company will maintain a fire watch.
