Volunteers needed for Canada Winter Games

Christine Nicholls, Manager Volunteer Workforce Prince George Canada Games 2015 leads an information meeting to explain the opertunities for volunteers at the 2015 winter games. In order to make the event a success, the Canada Winter Games will need approximately 4,500 volunteers.

The 2015 Canada Winter Games Host Society is currently recruiting six new key planning volunteer positions to help the city host the event.

Volunteer positions include accommodation chair, environmental services chair, food services chair, materials management chair, security chair and village services chair.

Required skills include being a team player and self-starter, excellent communications skills, an ability to make accurate and timely decisions and an ability to perform simultaneous multiple tasks.

Previous Games or related experience is considered an asset as is fluency in French and a willingness to volunteer variable hours, including evenings and weekends.
