City awards up for grabs

The City of Prince George is looking to recognize outstanding citizens.

Nominations are now open for volunteer recognition and youth of the year awards, which will be handed out at the April 27 Civic Appreciation Dinner.

Four types of awards are up for grabs: Recreation and Culture and Community Service awards, for 10 years of service; Youth of the Year, for a 13 to 18 year old; and Outstanding Volunteer, for 15 years of service.

Nominations are due to be submitted to city hall March 4 by 4:30 p.m. For more information on the categories or a nomination package, contact Community Services at 250-561-7640 or visit the Civic Appreciation section of the City Living tab on the city's website at www.princegeorge.ca.
