A snowmobiler has died near Valemount.
The rider was found pinned underneath his sled in a ditch along Highway 5 early Wednesday morning, North District RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith said, and efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
She said he had been traveling in an open area alongside the highway when the accident occurred.
The victim's name was not released Wednesday and Smith said the findings of a police investigation will be passed to the B.C. Coroners Service
