Parolee apprehended

A man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been found.

Larry Eugene Calver, 65, who had not been seen since Jan. 3, was located at an apartment on Redwood St., the same day Prince George RCMP issued an alert.

Calver, who police say has an extensive criminal record and is considered violent, had failed to return to his designated home in Prince George. He is now in custody at Prince George Regional Correctional Centre following his apprehension.

In February 2009, he was sentenced to four years in prison for robbery using a firearm in Abbotsford and in September 2008, he was sentenced to three years for robbery in Prince George but received 104 days credit for time served in pre-trial custody.
