Free skating on oval ice Jan. 20

Free skating, hot chocolate on the house, clowns, face painting and music are on order for the third annual PG Skates open house, set for Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Exhibition Park ice oval.

Ice fees on the 400-metre oval will be waived from 1-3 p.m. that day. All that's required to participate in the community-wide are skates and a helmet.

Hosted by the Enhance Prince George Committee and the Prince George Ice Oval Society, members of the Prince George Blizzards Speed Skating Club will be on hand to demonstrate the fine art of skating on long blades.

The ice oval is located on the west side of Exhibition Park behind Kin 3 arena.
