Wits and Skits is presented by the Elder Citizens' Recreation Association Drama Club tonight at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available at the ECRA office, 1692 Tenth Avenue or at the door. Another hilarious show to keep seniors - and everyone else - laughing.

The 36th anniversary of Northern BC's finest professional artisan fair, Studio Fair, takes place today, Saturday and Sunday at the Prince George Civic Centre with more than 90 vendors on site. Presented by the Community Arts Council of Prince George & District, the event goes today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for adults $3, students/seniors $2, under 12 free. Tickets are at the door.

Claire Kujundzic, from Wells, is holding an exhibit of her artwork at Groop Gallery, 1127 Third Avenue, with opening reception tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. The show is called Free Standing, a forest-based series of paintings and canvas trees. The show runs until Nov. 28. The gallery is open Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday Night Mics in Cafe Voltaire, at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue, at 8 p.m. invites everyone onto the stage to showcase their talents. Come down before 8 to talk to organizer Eric Thompkins or just come down to watch the show. As always, there's never a cover charge.

27 Million Voices third annual fundraiser gala is Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Coast Inn. Join 27 Million Voices, a local non-profit organization, to raise funds to support anti-human trafficking efforts in West Africa. The gala will feature African entertainment and music, West African merchandise, a silent auction, and African-inspired cuisine. Tickets are $90. P.G. Montessori Casino Night fundraiser is Saturday at 6 p.m. at Knox United Church, 1448 Fifth Avenue. Tickets are $20, which includes entry to the event as well as $1,000 in 'chips'. Chips are cashed in for entries to win great prizes. Additional 'chips' cash only. Cash bar, dress is casual. All proceeds help support the Prince George Montessori Education Society. Gordon James in concert at Art Space, above Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Okanagan based singer songwriter has always had a love for acoustic music and brings his unplugged show to the stage. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

Craig Cardiff at Nancy O's, 1261 Third Avenue, Thursday at 8 p.m. Cardiff is a Canadian folk musician from Waterloo, Ontario, who is known for his soft voice and digital vocal and guitar loops. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Local writers Mike Carson and Maggie DeVries were honoured at the Surrey International Writers' Conference. Carson won first place in the non-fiction category and Devries received the Griffin Award. For more information visit http://www.siwc.ca/contest/winners2012
