Don't let the winter wonderland dampen that haunting Halloween spirit.

Here is a list of a few highlights you can see around Prince George, as people rise up to the challenge of making onlookers gasp in amazement.

Haunted Maze at 1679 15th Avenue, beside Re/Max, across from Parkwood Mall, from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight. The theme showcases Saw, Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre highlights guaranteed to scare people silly. Geared for adults but everyone welcome. $5 for each or $15 per family.

Sparky, the P.G. firefighters’ mascot, is hosting Halloween parades at Pine Centre Mall at 3:30, 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children 12 and under will display their costumes throughout the mall, starting at the food court. Each pre-registered child gets a free balloon and tattoos.

Many people in Prince George take the heebie-jeebie holiday very seriously and do their worst to terrorize the neighbourhood.

There's definitely a theme going on for Halloween decorations this year. The majority of the decor is a la boneyard, with many a crypt keeper lurking in the shadows.

Here are a few places readers and Citizen staff have discovered:

Visit 876 Blair Crescent where owner Todd Fry has ghostly lights programmed to six terrifying tunes. The light show runs from 7 to 11 p.m.

More lights and a boneyard at 2025 Aintree and 2095 McBride Crescent, while monsters and the living dead invade 843 and 1089 Ewert Street. Down the next street there's a bunch of over-inflated monster egos at 777 Gillett while the tomb is open, along with an inviting final resting place found at 570 Gillett.

There are spooks galore at 2451 Olds Street. Don't be fooled by the G-rated fun in the front, go around the corner for more ghoulishness in the backyard, too. Right across the street at 2425 Olds Street there's another burial ground and go around the corner to 4265 Morgan Crescent to see the mother of all grave sites.

At 4687 Newglen Place visitors will see a gruesome graveyard and have a careful look for the witches' feet coming up from the neighbour's yard.

At 2498 Devonshire, tomb raiders are warned to stay out but have a look at all the crypt-ic notes on headstones. Very clever.
