Shift Into Winter road check set for Wednesday

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement Branch, RCMP and ICBC will be conducting their annual Shift Into Winter road check event tomorrow.

Participants will be handing out information about winter maintenance, ways to equip vehicles for winter, how drivers can adjust their driving habits for winter conditions, and promoting the DriveBC website so motorists know about current road conditions before they travel.

They'll be at the Prince George North weigh scale on Highway 97 North at Hoferkamp Road from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and at the Red Rock weigh scale on Highway 97 South, about 30 kilometres south of Prince George, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
