The College Heights Cougars, meanwhile, were the Black Division champions (17th overall). They posted an overall record of 6-1, their only loss a 15-25, 28-26, 15-13 setback to Holy Trinity of Edmonton in their first match. They then rolled to wins against D.W. Poppy of Langley and Clarence Fulton of Vernon to finish second in their pool.

In the Black Division playoffs, the Cougars picked up victories against Princess Margaret of Penticton, George Elliot of Winfield, St. Georges of Vancouver and then knocked off Revelstoke 22-25, 25-17, 16-14 in the final.

The Cougars started the weekend ranked 10th in B.C. in the double-A division, while George Elliot was No. 6 and Revelstoke was No. 5.
