Driving my sister to the airport in Prince George this morning.
My 16 year old rusty truck is running like a top as it always does.
Stop at Walmart before heading out for the airport - what the heck is wrong?
The truck is hesitating and missing and can't seem to get gas, no matter how hard I push the gas pedal. Get part way to the airport - praying - praying - whining - whining - losing speed - almost stalling - - stress - stress - stop at a mechanic shop.
Too busy to even look at my truck, they send us to Fountain Tire but the truck is really ready to quit on me now - praying we get through the green light on a busy highway - whew! - made it! - pull in to Fountain Tire - too busy - too busy - whine some more - pray some more.
One guy there says he will drive my sister to the airport so she doesn't miss her plane, another guy says they are too busy and I might have to leave my truck for a couple of days.
OK, I can do that. I call my sister's husband in Vanderhoof to come to Prince and get me - he has just worked a night shift but says he will. One of the busy guys says he'll just take my truck out for a spin but can't fix it today. He comes back and the truck never hesitated once - I hit the road and make it home with never another hesitation.
Bless the good people who still abide in this hurry up world. I will forever be loyal to Fountain Tire - awesome.
