Three people were arrested and are facing drug trafficking charges after Prince George RCMP pulled over the driver of a vehicle spotted leaving a known drug house on the night of Oct. 3.
The 27-year-old driver of a Honda Civic, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was stopped and found to be in possession of cocaine. That led police to execute search warrants of two city residences in the early-morning hours of Oct. 4, one in the 2900 block of Andres Road and the other in the 7100 block of Westgate Avenue.
Cocaine, weigh scales and other drug trafficking material were found at both houses. The three busts yielded four ounces of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and $5,000 in cash.
Investigators will file drug trafficking related charges to federal Crown counsel.
Police are encouraging members of the public to provide tips that lead to arrest of people involved in possession and sale of illicit drugs in the community.
