The Cafe Voltaire audience, inside Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue, gets a treat Friday as local bluesman Mike Foottit and his band hit the stage at 8 p.m. Known well throughout town for his blues guitar, Foottit puts on a show the audience won't want to miss. As always, Friday Night Mics are free.

At Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue, Fort St. James resident, Joyce Helweg, will launch Change In Direction, her new book, Saturday at 1 p.m. She will talk about her transformation from an ulcer-bound housewife to a care-free cowpoke, crossing 300 miles of terrain including the Finlay River, and the Spatsizi Wilderness Park. It's been quite an adventure.

The Sojourners, a Vancouver-based gospel trio, will perform at the Prince George Playhouse

Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $37.50 plus HST at Studio 2880 by calling 250-563-2880.
