Calling all boy actors

David Mah, photogapher

Young Theatre North West actors Benjamin Hirtz, 11, Andrea Pearce, 12, and Grace Waldie, 13, chat with director Ted Price about past productions. TNW will be holding auditions for boys between 10 and 15 for the production of Privilege.

There's a Theatre North West call out for boys between 10 and 15 years old to audition for a role in an upcoming production of Privilege by Paul Weitz.

Ted Price, founding artistic director of TNW, will be directing the play and is looking for two actors who will be convincing as 12 to 13 year olds.

The role of Charlie, one of the play's main characters, will be shared by two boys.

The role offers a special opportunity for two local youth, who will work alongside professional actors from across Canada.

Registration forms and information sheets are available at Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave.

Completed forms must be submitted to Books & Co. no later than Oct. 10. Rehearsals will begin on Jan. 18. Performances will run February 7 to 27 with the possibility of more performances.

Auditions will be held in mid-October. All those who wish to audition will be contacted with more information.

Privilege is a heartfelt comedy about how sometimes, even when you lose it all, you win.

For more information call Theatre North West at 250-563-6969, or drop by Books & Co. to pick up the information sheet.
