Charges approved against suspected robber

Charges have been approved against a woman suspected of a Saturday morning robbery spree.

Christine Trisha Ivany, 22, of Williams Lake, faces one count each of robbery and obstructing a peace officer, two counts each of attempted robbery and failing to comply with a recognizance, and three counts with disguise with intent to commit a crime.

The charges are in relation to incidents at a motel in the 1500 block of Highway 97 South at, a restaurant in the 400 block of Dominion Street and a business in the 1600 block of Third Ave.

After receiving reports of a female wearing a mask and a hoody and wielding an edged weapon entering the locations and demanding money, Ivany was arrested the same day.

Crown counsel approved the charges on Monday, Prince George RCMP said.
