The tourism industry's next moves in Prince George will be in the lunchtime spotlight, for local communications and public relations specialists.
The people who communicate private sector and public service activities out to the greater community gather regularly under the banner of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) - Northern Lights chapter. After a summer hiatus, the group's first Lunch And Learn event of the season will feature Aidan Kelly of Tourism Prince George.
According to a CPRS statement, the discussion will focus on the "rebranding and the future direction of marketing and communications for Tourism Prince George." Kelly is expected to explain "the reasoning behind [Tourism Prince George] projects and activities of the past 18 months, while showing a variety of communication examples including an analysis of the impact and reach the new direction has had."
The lunch event ($20 for CPRS members, $25 for non-members) happens today at noon in the Rgional District of Fraser-Fort George board room. Those who can't participate in person can listen by conference call. To RSVP for personal attendance or to get the conference call dialing information, email Renee McCloskey (rmcclos...@rdffg.bc.ca) by the end of today.
