Dog Whisperer auditions online

Got a misbehaving mutt?

Perhaps your precious pooch is an habitual backyard digger, or has developed a unique taste for the stuffing of his owner's bed mattress.

If so, Cesar Millan might have the answers.

The world-famous dog trainer is coming to Prince George at CN Centre on Sunday, Nov. 11 and producers of the Canadian tour are seeking owners of dogs that demonstrate hyperactive behaviour to potentially feature those pets as part of the Trust Your Instincts seminar.

Interested applicants can contact the Cesar Millan Dog Search team to complete an on-line form at http://cesarmillanlive.com/dog-application/. Applications for puppies and rescue dogs will be accepted starting at the end of this month.

Millan, whose Dog Whisperer TV show is featured in Canada on the National Geographic channel, will be sharing his secrets on how to build happier, healthier relationships between humans and their dogs. His seminar will focus on teaching how to read canine body language to prevent and solve behaviour problems, and will offer tips on understanding a dog's instincts, how that affects behaviour, and what triggers aggression.

“A dog’s world is one of instincts -- this world is very different from the human world, which is fast-paced, full of stress and ultimately creates unbalance in dogs," says Millan. "The instinctual world is one of energy, harmony and calmness.

"My new seminar tour will give dog owners the tools to recognize how to create an environment of balance and calmness for their dogs. I hope that through understanding the world dogs live in, people will transform their dogs and maybe a bit of themselves at the same time.”

Tickets for the Cesar Millan Live Canadian tour are now on sale at the CN Centre box office or online through www.cesarmillanlive.com or www.ticketmaster.ca.
