Police looking for booze thief

Suspect sought in liquor store theft.

A suspect grabbed bottles of liquor and fled the store, but surveillance cameras grabbed a few photos of him before he got away. Now, Prince George RCMP are asking the public to call in the man's identity.

The theft happened on Monday at about 7:30 p.m. from a liquor store in the 3300 block of 15th Avenue.

"An adult male entered the business at that location with an empty blue plastic tote-bag," said RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "A few minutes later, the suspect exited the business without paying for a number of bottles of liquor."

It is believed that the suspect fled on foot down nearby Ahbau Street. He is described as:

a Caucasian male in his early 30s; approximately 175 cm (five-foot-nine) in height; approximately 75 kg (175 pounds) in weight; dark, shoulder length hair in the back; and a goatee beard and partial side burns.

He was wearing a black or dark blue baseball cap with white sunglasses on top; a long sleeved, buttoned, blue shirt with a collar; and light coloured undershirt.

A thorough search of the area by officers turned up no clear sign of who the suspect was.
