Local woman dies in Clinton crash

An elderly Prince George woman died Sunday as a result of injuries sustained during a single vehicle collision 5 km north of Clinton.

RCMP were called to the scene where a Kia Rondo went into the ditch and hit a bank in a small gully on Highway 97 at about 1 p.m. Sunday.

The elderly woman was a passenger in the car and was flown by air ambulance to the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

RCMP will not be releasing the woman's name.
