Fatal car crash kills Dawson Creek woman

A woman is dead after she was ejected from her car in a single-vehicle collision Friday evening.

The 36-year-old woman was driving south on 217 Road near Dawson Creek in her 1995 Honda Accord when it skidded into the east ditch. When the car reentered the gravel roadway it flipped, which is when the woman was ejected according to Dawson Creek RCMP.

The resident of Dawson Creek succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. She was the sole occupant of Honda Accord.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of her family.
