The Prince George fire fighters hold the first Rooftop Campout at Canadian Tire for 48 hours, ending Sunday at noon. The fundraiser is for Muscular Dystrophy Canada and proceeds go to equipment for those in need and research to find a cure. Five fire fighters go up on the roof, while one is on ground crew duty. Shirley Bond, MLA Prince George-Valemount and Minister of Justice and Attorney General said a few words, along with Susan Andrist, former Northern B.C. chapter president of Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Ian Provan, fire fighter and Muscular Dystrophy Canada advisory group B.C. campaign chair. Provan is the ground crew while Mike Stachoski, Shane Lapierre, Jeremy Kostyshyn, Clayton Sheen and Wayne Weis take 48-hour rooftop duty.
