    Problem drug house busted

RCMP have removed more drugs and another gun from the streets of Prince George.

The latest raid happened in the 1100 block of Chilako Avenue when crime reduction, drug taskforce and downtown units searching a problem drug house found substantial cocaine, cash, drug trafficking parapheralia and a high-powered rifle which had been stolen in a break and enter incident last week in the city.

Five males and one female were arrested on site, and police say the home owner and one of the males were already on court releases at the time of their arrest. They will now face additional drug and weapons charges as a result of the investigation.

Numerous tips from the public assisted the police in doing their job, said Cst. Lesley Smith, RCMP media liaison.

"The public is speaking up and it's very clear that these individuals and their operations are not welcome in our neighbourhoods," Smith said.
