American addition effort down to the final stages

Paperwork is the only thing standing between Robert Rodriguez and a spot with the UNBC Northern Timberwolves men's basketball team.

Rodriguez, a 22-year-old point guard from Sacramento, Calif., has committed to the Northern Timberwolves for the 2010-11 B.C. Colleges Athletic Association season. He and head coach Todd Jordan are simply waiting for all the necessary forms to be completed.

"If everything works out with his study permit, he should be here in September," Jordan said.

"Right now we're working on getting his application to the school all through and making sure he has all the documentation to get across the border. I don't foresee that being too much of a problem but you just never know with that stuff."
