Replacing its 55-year-old predecessor across the way, the new Duchess Park Secondary School produced plenty of "wow" from students and teachers alike when its doors were opened for the first time on Tuesday.
Bright, fresh and centred on a soaring main concourse, many were left speechless upon entering the building but students like Veronica Gammer, who almost couldn't wait for spring break to end, will have no trouble adjusting.
"I actually wanted to go to school today (just to see the new school)," she said.
