    QUESTION OF THE WEEK

    Skaters off to B.C. meet

Jennifer Migabo just might flip if she lands her double flip combination.

Migabo, a 17-year-old member of the Spruce City Skating Club, has yet to successfully complete the technically-challenging jump in the heat of competition. She'll get her chance during the next few days in Kamloops, site of the Pacific StarSkate championships.

The double flip combo is the third leap in Migabo's free skate program.

"It's a big jump for me," said Migabo, a seventh-year skater who will be entered in the gold triathlon category. "I'm still trying to get it done in competition. After that, (the program) is pretty routine. My first three jumps are my hardest -- not even necessarily the hardest, just the biggest points."

The meet, which will bring together skaters from across the province, starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday.
