This class will start out with a stretch and warm up incorporating the hoops as well as a cool down at the end of the session. You will learn basic introductory on body moves as well as several off body 'tricks' or moves that can be sequenced together into a combination to music.
You will be hooked to this fun form of dance after you master your first trick! No experience required! This workshop is perfect for brand new hoopers as well as those with some previous experience who would like to expand their knowledge. Both men and women are welcome!
Professional hoops will be supplied for class use and will be available for purchase.
Mel Chesnutt has been facilitating progressive weekly 1-hour classes for 2 years in Fort St. James as well as several customized workshops for adult and youth programs/events. She has performed at festivals and is currently preparing her students for a group performance next summer!
