College of New Caledonia is figuratively going to the dogs.
The sixth annual CNC Doggie Fashion Show will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the atrium where dogs of every pedigree, shape and size and their owners will compete in a variety of categories.
“It’s been very successful through the years. We’ve raised $4,000 for the SPCA plus palettes of food, toys and cleaning supplies. It’s an event people look forward to," said said co-ordinator Barbara Old, CNC’s Dean of Community and Continuing Education.
The show, which features competition in Best in Show, Most Original, Best Human & Doggie
Co-ordination, Best Doggie Personality and People’s Choice Award, is open to not only dogs and their owners, but children, adults and seniors. All proceeds go towards the Prince George SPCA.
Judges are Valerie Giles, Kathi Travers, Ann Gough and Debora Munoz and the SPCA's Super Dog will also be there.
Entry fee is $10 per dog and participants are asked to register by Thursday, Nov. 12. A limited number of registrations will be taken on show day between 9 and 10 a.m. A registration form can be downloaded from the College News and Events section of CNC’s web site: www.cnc.bc.ca/tools/events. For information, call Laura, 250-562-2131 ext. 5386 or Kathy at 562-2131 ext. 5298.
