With six games left in their longest roadtrip of the season, the Prince George Cougars are going to be living out of their suitcases for another nine days. For the sake of the Cats, last-overall in the Western Hockey League, lets hope they packed a little confidence with them when they left Kelowna, after very nearly beating their divisional opponents Wednesday night. Kelowna escaped with a 5-4 shootout victory, but the Cougars gave the second-place Rockets all they could handle in the game, providing the Cats a spark they hope to use tonight in Swift Current, where they face the Broncos (6:30 p.m. start, 99.3 The Drive FM). Cougars goalie Alex Wright was sharp in turning aside 30 Rocket shots, making it a tough decision for head coach Dean Clark whether to start Wright or Hudson Stremmel tonight against the Broncos. The Cougars will have 20-year-old defenceman Dallas Jackson back in the lineup. Jackson was suspended for one game in addition to a slashing major penalty he took in the Oct. 31 game against Tri-City. The Cougars will be in Moose Jaw Saturday night, then stay east of Alberta for four games next week , visiting Regina, Brandon, Prince Albert and Saskatoon, before they make the trip home. The Rockets provide the opposition for the next two home games at CN Centre, Nov. 21-22.
