The annual Theatre North West Wine Festival is sold out for the third year in a row. But this year, due to demand, organizers have found a way to offer six more pairs of tickets through a silent auction, said Jovanka Djordjevich, committee member. Highest bidders get the tickets to the Nov. 14 event being held from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at The Exploration Place. "These last tickets will be available at six restaurants in a silent auction at Coast Inn Lounge, Moxie's, Ric's Grill, The Publik, Twisted Cork and White Goose Bistro," said Djordjevich. Deadline to make a bid on the tickets, valued at $40 each, is 9 p.m. Friday the 13th, and tickets will be delivered to the highest bidders that same evening. The festival is TNW's biggest fundraiser of the year, and its popularity and early sell-out has impressed Troy O'Donnell, TNW's new artistic director who arrived in mid-August. "While it's exciting news that the Wine Festival has once again sold out, the fact that it has sold out so far in advance is incredible," said O'Donnell who's delighted that there are six more chances for TNW's wine lovers and supporters to get tickets. --btrick@pgcitizen.ca
