Funds raised through the 2 per cent tax will be used to promote tourism opportunities. A Prince George Tourism Society is being developed.
Katherine Scouten of Initiatives Prince George said the society's board of directors will include tourism stakeholders. Directors will be charged with ensuring the tax funds are spent wisely.
