Chloe Hall, folk singer from Australia, will appear at Art Space Saturday night at 8.
Hall writes her own songs, and is launching her latest album Outside during this Canadian tour before releasing it anywhere else.
Hall has written for television and film projects as well as receiving a nomination for Best Unsigned Artist at the Australian Music Critics Awards.
In 2007, Hall performed throughout Canada, with over 29 performances at festivals, pubs, and folk clubs to promote her White Street album.
Her latest album, Outside was mixed in Nashville by alt-country legend Brad Jones, offering up Hall as a developing recording artist.
When Hall came through Canada in '07, she purchased an old van she called Betty, this time Hall will tour in Alberta, B.C. and then heads east to Ontario, and lastly to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with another old van as her ride.
Accompanying Hall on tour is Chris Mildren on bass and Teal Bain-Roben, rhythm section.
The new album has songs called I'm Still Here, Shipwreck, Dance with Me and It's Not Too Late, all harkening back to the 60s singer-songwriter esethetic resulting in a melodic and harmonic event.
