For the past two months a group of six fourth-year nursing students at the University of Northern B.C. has developed and presented information throughout the community on trauma and injury prevention in youth. Team TIP (Trauma and Injury Prevention) focused on injury prevention strategies related to helmet use, seatbelt use and car safety, water safety, and pedestrian safety. Team TIP would like to acknowledge and give thanks to local businesses, organizations and schools in Prince George for their time and generous donations. We would like to give special thanks to: Brain Injury Group, Canadian Red Cross, Wal-Mart, Zellers, Sportmart, Your Dollar Store With More, Exploration Place, Immaculate Conception, Sacred Heart School, Cedars Christian School, Prince George Spruce Kings. -- Anita Muchalla; Carlye Hicks; Courtney McCaffrey; Elisa Cannon; Jeremy Wilson; Tatsiana Dudkina; Heather Correale, assistant professor, UNBC School of Nursing
