Something of a Prince George Christmas tradition will continue this year when a reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" by CBC Radio One personalities is held tonight at 7:30 at St. Michael and All Angels' Anglican Church. Allana Stuart, Betsy Trumpener and Chris Walker will be joined by Marcel Gagnon, Gil Wigmore and the White Spruce City Chorus of Sweet Adelines will sing a number of Christmas favourites to complement the readings. In 1990, national news anchor Judy Maddren hosted CBC's first public reading of Dickens' classic. Today, the readings are presented in more than 100 communities in Canada and the United States. Tickets are $10 each and are available at Books and Company and both branches of the Prince George Public Library. There will be refreshments provided by Starbucks and a silent auction after the presentation with proceeds used to purchase materials for the library. St. Micheal's is at the corner of Victoria Street and Fifth Avenue.
