Lets get real here and be clear about the fact that the plight of the Prince George Cougars for the past five-plus years, rests solely on Dallas Thompson's shoulders. This is his team, hes the one responsible for the on-ice product. Its his decision-making regarding the players hes drafted and traded for. What Im concerned about is the potential for this team to be moved. I truly believe that there is a work afoot to drive attendance to the point that Mr. Brodsky can plead his case to the WHL and ask to move the team due to lack of support. He did this in Victoria and its happening here. Why did he do this? Simple, we were building CN Centre. If Mr. Brodsky has no desire to move the team, which hes declared in the past, when will he recognize that Dallas Thompson cannot do the job? At some point the move to bring a new GM has to be made. I dont care that Dallas is his son-in law. Enough is enough. This city has had enough of the mediocrity of the Cougars and for the 15 years we have supported this team its time to start building a winner. Should this be something Mr. Brodsky feels is not appropriate, then I say take your team and be gone. Im sure the city can find a few more monster truck shows and art exhibitions to occupy the void left by not having a WHL team in CN Centre. -- Reg Joly Prince George
