Next week the city's Christmas spirit is fully awakened by the powerful voices of children. The annual School District 57 choral music super-event raises its curtains on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Christmas Nights of Music brings 18 music groups from schools across the district to the stage at Vanier Hall. Then they will all join at the end of each night for a mass choir finale.
Performing on Tuesday night are Spruceland Music Makers, Foothills Choristers, Spruceland Primary Choir, Southridge Singers, Austin Road Choristers and Nukko Lake Elementary
Performing on Wednesday night are Heather Park Middle School Beginner Band, Heather Park Middle School Intermediate Band, College Heights Elementary Junior, Highglen Elementary Choir, Cedars Christian School Choristers and College Heights Elementary Senior
Performing on Thursday night are Quinson Senior Choristers, Buckhorn Elementary Choir, Heritage Elementary Choir, Vanway Choristers, Tapestry Choir and Lakewood Jr. Choir.
All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public. Admission is by donation.
