A Toastmasters demonstration meeting was recently held at the Prince George Library, said Greg Jonuk, chairperson of the event.
The session was intended to give people the opportunity to see how a membership at a Toastmasters club could help them develop their communication and leadership skills while fostering self-confidence and personal growth, he said.
"The meeting was a success with record attendance and solid representation from many of Prince George's 10 Toastmasters clubs," Jonuk said.
The meeting featured presentations from Mike Carr and Shawn Everett, who each reflected on the value the organization's Communication and Leadership program has had on their own lives.
The next demonstration meeting is being planned for spring of 2009. Call Jonuk at 564-5191 for more information.
