    IZAAK SMITH
YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA
The countdown is on for Prince George dancer Izaak Smith, who will be among the final six dancers tonight on CTV's So You Think You Can Dance Canada.
Tonight's show at 8 is a vital time for Izaak's fans to get their votes in for him for two hours following the show.
Viewers can vote as often as they choose by dialing the toll free number assigned to Izaak or can text votes to 90909 for a cost of 75 cents.
Following the vote counting, Thursday's results show at 7:30 p.m. will be the biggest episode of the season as two more dancers are cut, leaving four finalists to compete on the Dec. 3 show followed by the grand finale results show for the title of Canada's Favourite Dancer and a prize of $100,000.
A CTV spokesperson said Tuesday the grand finale night will probably not be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, but more likely on the weekend of Dec. 6 and 7. An advisory will be issued when the day is set.
"I can't believe that in just a couple of days we'll know who's in the final, and in two weeks I'll finally be able to go home," Izaak said Tuesday. "I'm excited about that," said the 19-year-old, who has been in Toronto for two months.
He's really hoping to make the final four, "but it will all depend on how Canada votes."
He said the contest is extemely challenging both physically and mentally.
"You have to be prepared to pick yourself up and go out there and perform again even when you've been given critical feedback (by the judges) in the middle of the show."
Last week Izaak placed as one of the bottom two men in voting by fans, but escaped elimination.
Although judges have been critical of Izaak's dancing, it may be helping him stay in the competition.
Bunny Murray, a long-time local dance instructor in Prince George, said the website shows there has been a protest taking place because of the "harsh words" from one of the judges.
"Izaak's fans are working harder than ever now to keep him in the running as the number of remaining shows dwindles," said Murray.

I am sorry, but I am not going to be voting for him unless he steps it up and becomes the dancer he should be. He was not very good last week, Vincent was better than he was and Vincent was the one to go home!?!?! I understand that he is from Prince George, but in order to get my vote he needs to step up to the plate and bring something new to the table. Make me feel the emotion they are wanting you to bring out, show me something that is going to make me go "wow, you are amazing."

I agree ccurle01. In my humble opinion, he did not dance as well as the rest last week and I was really surprised to see that he wasn't eliminated. It's too bad really that the voting is based on popularity rather than performance because he truly did not measure up to Vincent.

I hope it's a good night for him. He's made it this far and that is a huge accomplishment in itself.
