Northern Health looking for anti-tobacco projects Print E-mail

Northern Health is calling for proposals for projects that reduce use and promote awareness about tobacco use in northern B.C.
Community grants, called True North Strong and Smoke-Free, support community organizations projects that focus on chewing tobacco, second-hand smoke, smoking cessation, youth tobacco prevention or awareness about tobacco hazards.
This is the sixth year NH has offered various funding to successful applicants.
In the past, grants have funded such projects as youth tobacco forums, school-related activities, multi-media displays, and smoke-free promotion for public and private facilities.
