(subject gossip) or fax 250-562-7453 or drop it off in a sealed envelope marked "gossip." ---- RCMP members in red serge are the model of buttoned-down, spit-and-polished precision during special occasions. We wish the same could be said for their cars. Leading Tuesday's Remembrance Day procession to the cenotaph ceremony at city hall were two police cars that were absolutely filthy. A quick stop at a car wash would have kept the image intact. -------- Here's more proof that it saves you time and money to get The Citizen. A woman sent a fax to the newsroom Thursday at 1 a.m. because she was angry that her and another 100 people stood outside a local store to get the latest copy of the most highly sought-after video games this season: Gears of War 2 and World of Warcraft: The Wrath of Lich King. She said they waited outside in hopes of landing the big games, only to find out the store didn't have permission to open. Now, if these people had read a Citizen story earlier in the week they would have known that Future Shop was the place to be to get the games as it was having a special release party. And to think for just 62 cents they could have had that information delivered right to their door. ------ We hear the wife of a local school principal has a creative idea for christening the new island in their kitchen. --- Eugene Fetterly is by far the most colourful candidate in the election with the most um, shall we call them unique answers. The best way to see what we mean is to go to www.pgcitizen.ca and watch the special video report on the mayoral candidates. Some of his most memorable comments include: "Well, it sucks to be them" about the homeless, and "been there, done that" when asked about crack pipes being given away downtown. --- It's amazing how many candidates in today's election spent time standing on the side of busy intersections around town waving at drivers. Do they really think it's a good idea to have a bunch of people waving signs at drivers as they try to make a two-lane turn from the highway on to Fifth Avenue during morning rush hour? Here's hoping that if one of them causes and accident that they are found at fault and their insurance goes up and not the poor driver's. ------------ For MaryAnne Arcand running for election seems to be something of a family affair. While Arcand (nee De Witt) is running for council in Prince George, her sister,†Patricia Cecchini in Fruitvale and their cousin, Heidi DeWitt, in Sicamous†are also seeking election to councils in their own† communities. All three are†entering public life for the first time, and neither knew of the others' plans until the campaigns had started.

This is meaningless trash and I am actually stunned that the Citizen has printed it.
