The weekend should be relatively snowfall-free after about seven centimetres descended on the city Friday in the first major dump of the winter. Environment Canada meteorologist Doug Jones said there is a chance of flurries on Sunday when the high is forecast to be at the freezing level, but on Saturday it should clear in the afternoon with a high of 4 C. Prince George RCMP Const. Gary Godwin said it was a quiet Friday on the roads despite the wet stuff. "The weather was horrendous but everybody slowed down so that's good to see," he said.
