Four candidates are in the running to be Prince George's next mayor after the nomination deadline passed Friday afternoon.
Looking to succeed retiring Mayor Colin Kinsley are, in alphabetical order: Eugene Fetterly, Dane Greenwell, Dan Rogers and Don Zurowski.
There are 18 candidates running for the eight spots on city council. They are, in alphabetical order: Mary Anne Arcand, incumbent Don Bassermann, Ellen Cranston, Trent Derrick, Garth Frizzell, Brad Gibbons, incumbent Shirley Gratton, Shari Green, Gregg Kauk, incumbent Murry Krause, incumbent Debora Munoz, Diane Nakamura, incumbent Glen Scott, incumbent Brian Skakun, Dwayne Stene, Cameron Stolz, Harry Ulch and Dave Wilbur.
The election is Nov. 15.
Candidates have until Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. to withdraw.

Advance voting opportunities will be held Nov. 5 and 12 in the second floor conference room at city hall, 1100 Patricia Blvd., between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
As provided in the Local Government Act, the only electors who may vote by mail ballot are:
-- those persons who have a physical disability, illness, or injury that affects their ability to vote at another voting opportunity, and
-- those persons who expect to be absent from the municipality on general voting day and at the times of all advance voting opportunities.
Applications for mail ballots will be accepted by the Chief Election Officer from Oct. 13 to 24 during regular business hours at city hall, fifth floor. Ballot packages will be mailed to applicants beginning Oct. 27 and will be accepted by the chief election officer until the close of business on Nov. 13.
Registration of all electors for this election will take place at the time of voting. You will be required to make a declaration that you meet the following requirements:
- 18 years of age or older on general voting day;
- Canadian citizen;
- Resident of B.C. for at least six months prior to voting day;
- Resident of the City of Prince George for at least 30 days prior to voting day;
- Not otherwise disqualified by law from voting.
Resident electors will be required to provide two documents proving identity and place of residence in combination, one of which must contain a signature, or two documents proving
identity, one of which must contain a signature, and then make a solemn declaration regarding residence.
Documents proving identity that are acceptable to election officials include:
- A B.C. driver’s licence;
- A B.C. Identification Card issued by the Motor Vehicle Branch;
- An Owner’s Certificate of Insurance and Vehicle License issued by ICBC;
- A B.C. CareCard or B.C. Gold CareCard;
- A Citizenship Card issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada;
- A real property tax notice issued under Section 269 of the Local Government Act or Section 21 of the Taxation (Rural Area) Act;
- A credit card or debit card issued by a recognized savings institution; or
- A utility bill issued for the supply of electricity, natural gas, water, telephone services or coaxial cable.
