JUNO AWARDS
One of Canada's hottest rock bands on international rock charts is coming to Prince George. Finger Eleven (some fans still remember their days under the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys and their singles Circles and As Far As I Can Spit) released the single Paralyzer in 2007 and it roared up the Canadian listings, then buzzed the world. It reached No. 6 on the U.S. rock chart, No. 12 on Australia's singles chart and hit No. 1 here in their home country. They played the song live on Jay Leno, at the 2007 NHL Awards and at the 2008 Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas. It's not their only hit, though. Before Paralyzer the radio became really familiar with their first break-out song One Thing, which got up to No. 16 in the U.S. in 2003, was used by TV shows like Scrubs and Smallville, and was also sung by no less than Amy Lee of Evanescence. They have won at the Juno Awards and the MuchMusic Video Awards, they have gold and platinum albums on both sides of the border, and they have just released their latest single Talking To The Walls, which is gathering radio and video support just in time for their return to Prince George. Finger Eleven will be at CN Centre on Nov. 15 starting with special guests at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. priced between $34.50 and $39.50 (plus service charges).
