SALVATION ARMY
Sunday's 27th annual Toy Run was a record-breaker that saw 633 bikes participate. There were 1,125 toys donated and $2,813 was raised as part of a fundraising effort prior to the event, which was organized by the Harley Owners Group. There was also $937 raised from toy run T-shirt sales and $457 from Nelly's Pub barbecue, where live entertainment was provided by Blue Rock, a local band who generously donated their time. The riders left the CN Centre parking lot at 1 p.m. and returned after their hour-long ride for chili provided by the Salvation Army. All proceeds will go to the Salvation Army for distribution to those in need in our community. Riders came from Vanderhoof, Fort St. James and Quesnel to join local riders.
