During Community Living Month in in October, communities across B.C. celebrate the gifts and talents of people with developmental disabilities.
Prince George residents are invited to attend the following activities by AimHi.
- Oct. 10 from 8 to 10 a.m.-- AimHi's community living pancake breakfast at 950 Kerry St. Cost is $2.
- Oct. 23 from 1 to 7 p.m. -- AimHi's Healthy Living Fair at 950 Kerry St. by donation.
- Oct. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m.-- Fall Fashion Show at 950 Kerry St. features fashions from The Bay, Honey Tree and Value Village. Tickets are $5.

The Child Development Centre has a goal to raise $30,000 during its 20th annual Dutch Auction being held Oct. 19 on Shaw TV.
The community can help raise funds to help meet the therapeutic needs of 700 children annually by donating cash, auction items, gift certificates or baskets, or a work of art. A Dutch auction is a reverse of a regular auction with prices falling the longer it remains unsold. When it hits the price you want to pay, phone in and place your bid.

The new director of communications for Northern Health is Steve Raper, who began duties earlier this week.
He replaces Mark Karjaluoto, who left Prince George in April to join a hospital corporation in Ontario.
Raper comes from the College of New Caledonia, where he was manager of marketing and enrolment services and an instructor in the business program.
