Two people are dead in the community of Vanderhoof and RCMP are calling it a double homicide. Mounties said they were called at about 4:50 p.m. to a home on Speedway Road after someone called them about a death.
"Upon arrival, two bodies were discovered within the residence," said North District RCMP spokesman Const. Craig Douglass. "Police are treating the deaths as homicides but are not currently looking for any suspects."
The two people will not be identified until next of kin is notified. Forensic autopsies will be conducted later in the week. Mounties from the North District major crime unit, Prince George's forensic identification team and dog services section and the Vanderhoof detachment are all involved in the ongoing investigation.
