BEAVERDELL, B.C. - The RCMP have arrested five men and seized more than 5,100 pot plants after busting a large marijuana grow operation in B.C.'s Interior.
The bust happened Wednesday north of Beaverdell, southeast of Kelowna. The Mounties say the plants were found in 15 greenhouses and there was enough to make two million marijuana cigarettes.
The five men who were arrested haven't been identified, but police say three are from Beaverdell, one is from Vancouver and the other is from Calgary.
Sgt. Terry Jacklin says investigators suspect the operation could be linked to organized crime.
The five men will appear in court on Oct. 8 and 9 on charges of producing and trafficking a controlled substance.
