I talked to a social worker once about getting financial help to move to a different city, and was told that only for medical reasons is that done. I often think it would be beneficial to help me financially in moving to a city where it would be easier to find work, and an apartment. If I was financially stable I could go off disability entirely and be financially independent. I also think that's why having parents for help living here is necessary; the city, the seasons and income assistance do not allow me to be totally independent. Maybe living in a bigger city like Kelowna or Victoria would benefit me more than being on wait lists for help. I do search for wheelchair access information for B.C. often and usually just get places found in Victoria or parts of Vancouver. -- Sheldon Martin Prince George
