TADOULE LAKE, Man. - A search is underway for two men who disappeared while fishing in northern Manitoba.

The men from the Tadoule Lake First Nation were last seen in a canoe on a nearby lake Wednesday.

Volunteer searchers later found the canoe washed up on an island.

The craft was located about 1 1/2 kilometres from the community beach.

No names have been released.

RCMP and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association are helping community members look for the canoeists.
