KELOWNA - RCMP in Kelowna have issued warrants for five suspects accused of drug trafficking.

That's after 18 people were arrested earlier this month as part an undercover operation focusing on drug trafficking in the downtown area.

Const. Julie Rattee says most of the alleged drug dealing happened in the so-called Red Zone, an area set aside by the courts as off limits to repeat offenders.

Rattee says drug activity is starting to branch out to "hot spots" outside Kelowna's downtown area and in the Westbank region.
