After launching and expanding their successful business, Kristi Wintemute and Laura Cameron now have a taste for growing even bigger. They perceived a need for quality baby products and created Little Baby Hugz...Mom & Baby Necessities, which specializes in products which help new mothers. Their product lines are sold in Prince George at Everything Baby, JJ Springer and the gift shop at PGRH. Now, these enterprisers have an opportunity to land a substantial prize. Theyre up for The SavvyMom Award for the Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The prize is put up by angel business investors and it goes to the company which garners the most votes in an online contest. This is much like the fun contest which gave Meow Records national prominence and a big win. To give another Prince George business some well-deserved national attention, log on to www.momentrepreneuraward.ca, look for the company name, and follow the simple instructions to cast a vote. Find out more about Little Baby Hugz at their website www.babyhugz.ca or reach the company by telephone at 250-963-9214 or e-mail to

Friendship Day Grower Direct Fresh Cut Flowers is promoting Friendship Day on Thursday. This community-minded business gets behind a lot of good causes, and this one is to support the Salvation Army. Bring donations of non-perishable food to Grower Direct in the Foothills Plaza at 4190 15th Ave. In exchange, the friendly florists will hand you a little bouquet of six flowers -- one to keep and five to give away. They invite you to celebrate your friends that day by spreading the joy of flowers. The goal of Friendship Day this year is to collect 4,000 pounds of food to support the Salvation Armys work in feeding our fellow citizens in need. If you can afford to donate by the case, remember that Save-On-Foods is featuring a special case lot sale this week. Grower Direct will extend their hours on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accommodate those whod like to drop off donations going to or from work. Quotable Quotations Old sayings about old friends: It takes a long time to grow an old friend. Friends are the most important ingredient in this recipe of life. A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself. A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words. The best mirror is an old friend. Friendship is one mind in two bodies. Content for Enterprise can be sent by e-mail to
